Karyer was founded in 1953 by Zeki Yerdelen in Ankara and started its business life as a contracting firm. It also imported and sold heavy duty and construction machinery.

In the later years of his business life, where he continued with various construction and excavation works and sales of underground and underground mining machines to the private and public sectors, he became the Turkish representative of world-famous underground mining machinery brands such as SCHALKE and EICKOFF.
